i Messageが突然SMSに

- iPhone 6 docomo
- mineo(docomo)
夫とi Messageでいつもやりとりしているのですが、突然SMSに切り替わってしまいました。
(青色の吹き出しから緑色に)
何が原因でどうすればi Messageに戻せるのでしょうか。
また、そもそもi MessageとSMSで通信料は違うのでしょうか。同じならSMSだろうと気にしません。
わかる方がいらしたら、ご助言お願いします。

iMessage利用不可時の代替手段にSMSを送る意味だったかと。
Q: If I have "send as SMS" turned off, will I still receive messages from non-iphone users?
A:Yes, normal messages will work fine. The "send as SMS option" is only there to remove the option to send SMS to other iPhones. People can still send you SMS', other iPhones can even send you them, and you can send them to other phones, you simply can't send them to iPhones.
